*Explanation* The *feed* is a reference for the source of the article. Each article references a feed label following the headline. In groups.io the feed label is a hashtag. If you go to Hashtags on our sub-group site menu, you will see a box corresponding to the feed/hashtab. They are color coded by source—and note there are multiple pages of hashtags! If you click on a box, all articles currently in our newsfeed containing that label will be displayed. You can then filter by date from there. The *source* is the name of where the article came from, or where the alert generating the article was created. The *search* are the key terms, if any, that were the source of generating the article. The *posting* is whether the article was generated automatically or manually. The *expires* represents how long the articles in the feed are kept in our newsfeed. Generally, specific Kandi related articles are kept in our newsfeed for one (1) month; all other articles are removed from our newsfeed after one (1) week. This is done automatically. Any other information about the source of the feed are displayed after each listing. *Note that the searches include sourcing from not only news articles, but also twitter feeds, blogs and discussion sites.* Talkwalker is a search site that we are using as an alternative to, and in addition to, Google Alerts. I will put this post in the Wiki for the NewsFeed site, and also as a sticky to appear on top of the message board. Suggestion : Two ways you can use the feed… You can simply go straight to the message posting, and review the articles—the most recent posted are on top. If you are curious why the article is appearing in our feed, check the associated hashtag. The total articles in the feed at any one time ranges from 350-500. Some of the articles are from China in Chinese (go figure)…if you don’t know Chinese, sorry about that, but there’s Google translate in Chrome which works quite well. A more efficient approach is to select from our many searches, those searches that are of most interest to you, or you find are most useful. The searches are described below, and this document contains the most descriptive listing of the searches; you can also check the hashtag page on the sub-group site for an abbreviated description. To access those particular articles associated with a particular search, do the following: (1) note the hashtag associated with the search; (2) go to the hashtag page on the sub-group site; (3) find the hashtag box you are interested in—it will show you the number of hits for that hashtag currently in our feed; (4) simply click on the box containing the hashtag and it will bring up all articles associated with that feed.
